A & K Nails Spa

I rarely get my nails done but desperately needed a pedicure after walking a lot on vacation. I browsed a local Facebook group for recommendations and this was the first one mentioned twice. Clean atmosphere, great price, friendly service, feels good to support a local family business, not a corporate chain.

I love this place. A little family owned cozy spa set up with a homey feeling. Andy and Kim are very friendly, very accommodating and professional people. They are excellent at what they do and thrive to make everyone feel welcome and happy. The spa has parking and their treatments are fairly priced.

I get my nails done regularly, but wanted something really nice for a wedding I was in. I chose A&K because of the great reviews and was very happy with the service. I got acrylics, which I don't usually like because they're always kinda thick, but these were so beautiful, thin and delicate. The design was exactly what I wanted, and I genuinely enjoyed the appointment, we talked the whole time and I felt very welcome.

Would never come back. The pedicure I got was over within 25 minutes. For my bio-gel full set, there was no manicure first and the whole set looks shabbily done with bad shape. I understand the couple is the only two people working, but they were going back and forth among three clients at once, which felt unprofessional.

I've been getting my nails done for years and I've never experienced pain during a fill. Came here one time and had to tell the technician to slow down, that it hurts. The technique felt unnecessary and painful, nails should never be ripped off like that. One broke the next day too. Very unfortunate, because the staff are actually very friendly.
